For best results, you should use a consistent, fine to medium-fine grind size in your Bialetti Rainbow; not as fine as espresso but finer than you would use in a cafetiere, similar to the Bialetti Moka Ground Coffee. Or grind fresh at home with whole bean coffee and an espresso grinder. We would recommend the Bialetti Perfetto Moka coffee that has been roasted and ground specifically for stovetop coffee makers.

Cleaning your Bialetti Rainbow is relatively simple and an important step to prolonging the life of your coffee maker. Fill the boiler with hot water (3 parts) and vinegar (1 part) and place on the hob until liquid appears. Repeat this step two more times, without the vinegar, and finally rinse under running water. Ensure all parts are thoroughly dry before putting them away to be stored. If you do not dry thoroughly it will cause discolouration in the water chamber but the product will still work. This is not covered by the Bialetti guarantee.

No, the Bialetti Rainbow cannot be used on an Induction stove - it’s an aluminium product with an octagonal base which won’t connect to an induction stove. Bialetti have released a range of induction-friendly stovetop coffee makers, as well as an induction plate which sits on your stovetop so you can continue to use your Bialetti Rainbow.

Yes, replacement parts can be bought for your Bialetti Rainbow, including the gasket, filter and handle. Unfortunately we don’t sell the base, pot or plastic knob as individual products. Browse our full range of Spare Parts.

This depends on usage. If you clean the components on a regular basis then it will prolong the life of the gasket and filter. Typically we recommend changing the gasket and filter every 12 months.

No, we only sell the colours that are shown on our website and we are unable to offer other colours that may be available through Bialetti stores in Italy.

Deeply disappointed

I received my order from Brew Italia in good time and the product was obviously good quality but the coffee pot was too small and my attempts to send it back have been exceptionally frustrating. To begin with I had to request a return. I wasn't able to simply return it like you would most goods that you order on line. I waited 5 days to get a response from Brew Italia who accepted my return request but the order number they gave me is not being accepted by Royal Mail and so I have not been able to create a returns label and return my order. It also said to enclose the original paperwork that I received with the goods but there wasn't any. I have emailed Brew Italia twice to let them know and find out what order number will be accepted by Royal Mail but I have not heard anything back from them. The service I have received has been appalling and I will definitely not be ordering anything else from them again.

Bialetti the first and last name when it comes to Moka pots have just turned up the heat with a Rainbow colour range. The same old quality with a touch of Italian flare, the only question now is can I justify a second pot in a different colour!

Lovely bit of kit

I've been using coffee marker pods for about 8 years and this new one hasn't disappointed. The bill quality is excellent and I'm loving the bright yellow colour.
