Does Bialetti's cup sizing match UK mugs?

Bialetti's cup sizing is based on traditional tazze cups, which are much smaller than a standard UK mug. A 6 cup Moka Express will usually produce around 270ml of Italian-style espresso.

What kind of grind size should I use in my moka pot?

Bialetti's coffee makers need a heaped pile of ground coffee, we recommend Perfetto Moka by Bialetti. If you're grinding your coffee fresh at home, you are aiming for a grind size slightly coarser than espresso.

I find the Percolator simple to use and the 10 cup is enough to make 2 regular mugs of coffee. It is very robust and works well on our gas or induction hobs.

Lovely Moka Pot - stylish and great coffee!

I'm used to a bean-to-cup machine at home, but needed something a bit more portable to take when I'm out hiking & camping etc. I've tried the traditional style aluminium ones before, but fancied trying a stainless steel one this time.

The first thing I was struck by was how shiny it is - especially with the copper top section, this is a thing of beauty!

After following the instructions to make a few cups and discard, I made a cup to drink - just with some supermarket Lavazza ground coffee, and it was lovely. Probably going to take a few more tries to hone my technique, but looking forward to testing it "in anger" next time I fancy a coffee on the beach or at the top of a mountain :)

Would highly recommend if you want a moka which is a bit different/more "elegant" than the traditional octagonal style, but just as easy to use
